Gangnam Style Is No More Most Watched Video On Youtube

The Wiz Khalifa’s video named “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth became the most-watched video on youtube this Monday and has more than 2.896 billion views as coming to this Tuesday. That’s something around 2 million more than the video for Korean rapper Psy’s Gangnam Style which was the most-viewed title for five years,

YouTube said.

After five long years, Gangnam Style has been moved from its position of most-watched video on YouTube.
The smash hit by South Korean star rapper Psy has been so popular that he broke the site’s play counter for the maximum num of possible views 2,147,483,647 forcing the company to rewrite their code.
But after five years Gangnam Style has finally been overtaken by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s music video named as ‘See You Again.’

Wiz Khalifa said in a statement that he’s happy the song has been able to “inspire and impact so many lives.”

The ballad, which features on the soundtrack for Hollywood action film Fast & Furious 7, has been streamed 2,895,373,709 times beating Psy’s record of 2,894,426,475 views.
This isn’t the first time ‘See You Again’ has broken records last September it became the second video to reach a massive of 2 billion views on YouTube after ‘Gangnam Style’.

The ballad, This song was created as a tribute to actor Paul Walker, who died in a car accident mid-way through filming Fast & Furious 7 and was played at the end of the movie.
Since then it’s become one of the most frequently requested songs at funerals in the United Kingdom.

It was so popular, it became the best-selling song worldwide in 2015 and has been nominated for both a Grammy and an Oscar.
